Museum of inland waterways navigation

Inland Water Navigation Museum

One of the main attractions of the small lakeside village of Capodimonte is its Museum of the Navigation of the Inland Waters inaugurated on 30 June 2010 in the former slaughterhouse of the town. The museum was born as a place to exhibit the monoxila pirogue of the Bisentina island, found in 1989. Starting precisely from this exceptional discovery, the setting up that gave shape to the Capodimonte Navigation Museum was developed. A very interesting exhibition itinerary, you will be able to see and better understand what happens on the lake bottoms of Lake Bolsena, but also to admire various types of boats presented through explanatory panels, videos and multivision equipment.
