Museum System of Lake Bolsena

Territorial Museum of Lake Bolsena

The Territorial Museum of Lake Bolsena is located in Piazza Monaldeschi 1 in Bolsena. The exhibition is divided into various sections that tell the most significant phases of human development in this area of Italy.

Antonio da Sangallo the Younger Architecture Museum

The museum of architecture of Antonio da da Sangallo Il Giovane is located in Montefiascone in piazza Urbano V. The exhibition pays homage to this prominent figure, who was linked to Tuscia by the works he carried out here. Among his most famous works there is the church of S. Maria di Montedoro and the restoration of the fortress of the Popes in Montefiascone.

Museum of Prehistory of Tuscia and Rocca Farese

The Museum of Prehistory of Tuscia is located in Valentano and is set up in the Farnese fortress. The exhibition is divided into two main sections: prehistoric and medieval, Renaissance and modern. Inside there are many archaeological finds found in the area of Lake Mezzano.

Farnesano Costume Museum

The Farnesian Costume Museum is located in Gradoli and was established in 1998. The exhibition is located on the noble floor of the Palazzo Farnese restored between 1970 and 1980. The exhibition tells the habits and customs of the famous papal Farnese family.
