FESTIVAL OF THE BROWN
Brown Festival of Latera: is a food and wine initiative that is repeated every year in October, in which the protagonist is the chestnut or, as the locals call it, the brown. A DOC product of this land, from which many typical dishes of the cuisine of Lake Bolsena have taken shape. Latera is its symbol par excellence, as it is in this area that the famous brown of Latera is born and grows, a product of exceptional quality that also revolves around part of the local economy. The festival offers the opportunity to taste this excellent product and many recipes based on chestnuts, all accompanied by other local excellences, such as wine and extra virgin olive oil.
